Davidoff Van Overis

Belgian Warmblood (BWP)/Gelding/Grey/16.1(166)

D/O/B: Sunday, 29 June 2003

Summary

SOLD Oct 2011
Davidoff Van Overis is from the great Jumping Sire Parco, son of Darco. His mother line is also impressive. His Dam Quick Van Overis is the direct descendant of the Sire Quickstar from Galoubet by Alme, this lineage is of the highest quality.
The purchase was made based on the quality he showed in his loose jumping, his bloodline and his incredibly strong frame. At four years and now under saddle he is living up to all our expectations and is proving to be more than an eye catcher.
You will see that the Zangershiede stud is using the projeny of the French Sire Quick Star in their Stallion Line up.
His steel grey colour and powerful frame make him a real eye catcher. His temperament is also excellent. He will be broken in, in the summer of 2006, then rested again and ridden very little until 2007. In 2007 he will come in to train on a very low key basis. We bought him entire but decided to Geld him owing to the fact that we already have our stallion Branco Van Overis who is also a Parco projeny, though from a Le Mexico Dam.
Davidoff Van Overis is with out question a major jumping prospect for the future. He really is coming on, he won the 105m and then the Newcomers with a wonderfull double clear squealing when the bell rang = double win for Davidoff.

Some times a horse shows something a little more than just incredible ability. This horse is already showing that something, he has natural capacity to jump and enjoying every minute of it.
Currently winning newcomers he has returned to us and is back on form having been got fit and done some dressage , his /owner who he won with has emigrated to south africa and we were lucky enough to buy him back.

This horse is going to be seen soon winning at a much higher level as a few professionals have shown interest in him, he is already winning classes every time he goes out.

Jan 2011 - Davidoff has all his Newcomer and Foxhunter double clears - he is now based with Guy Williams to maximise this horses winning potential. Jan 2011 he came 2nd at Patchetts with Guy Williams' young rider, beating Beluga, Laura Renwicks horse.
Caroline has enjoyed riding davidoff again he is winning and has jut enjoyed wales and westmasters picking up a win and a third under Pippa Goddard .

Oct 2011 - Davidoff has be bought by a local Showjumper. This talentede gelding will be competed at a level that reflects his exceptional potential . We wish Sarah all the best with him for the future.
Davidoff really is a super horse!
